The Electoons who used to gravitate towards it lose their natural stability and scatter all over the world. Dark defeats Betilla, the Fairy, and steals the Great Protoon, the provider of harmony and balance. Rayman can only charge up his punch in this build and can't actually fire it, leaving these graphics unused.Īn enemy is loaded into the level, but it's not seen at any point.In Rayman’s world, nature and people live together in peace. Lightning orbs, which are not seen at any point because no items are placed in the level. interestingly, a similar thing happens in an early prototype of the Jaguar version. If Rayman falls from a place too high, he does a stunned animation.When walking up to a secret passageway, we can see a walking and idle animation for steep slopes.When Rayman collides with a ceiling, his entire body squishes before falling down with a unique animation.His idle animations are very different in this version: instead of gesturing and looking around, he wipes his mouth and eventually lugs out a boombox, then breakdances for a bit before putting away the boombox.

This is curiously absent in his later design, even though his Golden Fist would later be turned into a powerup.

When Rayman charges his punch, his body begins sparking as his fist turns gold.

His nose was made bigger in his later design.

Rayman's shoes were given additional details in his later design, with the soles being recolored white and two bumps and a lace being added.

Rayman's hands were enlarged in his later design, with his rotund body being shrunk in turn.

Rayman is sporting a red outfit, which would later be changed to resemble a purple hoodie.

One of the more interesting differences between the SNES prototype and the final game is Rayman's design. It's difficult to isolate Rayman's SNES animations due to the foreground utilizing various transparencies. Provide recordings of his animations if possible.
